What we look for
ACS staff apply their knowledge in the field as skilled direct care assistants, and are passionate about fulfilling their tasks as needed. Multiple background checks are completed before the first day of work, to protect the individuals we serve, their families and our other employees.
Training is an ongoing programme for everyone in the team, including regular seminars. Staff who pass medications are trained and certified to do so. The day-to-day work is set out on our services page.

- Patience and respect in personal care situations
- Willingness to complete background checks and ongoing training
- A valid driver's licence where transportation is part of the role
- Clear written notes — families rely on what you record
