Transportation & appointments

Rides to the places that matter — clinics, day programmes, family and community activities — with a caregiver who stays for the visit if needed.

Transportation provided as part of homemaker personal care.

Doctor's & other appointments

Accompaniment to appointments, with notes passed back to the family.

What areas does Ability Care Services cover?

We serve Columbus and the surrounding cities in both Franklin and Fairfield counties, Ohio. Our office is at 1510 South Hamilton Road, Suite L, Columbus, OH 43227.

What are your hours?

We are reachable Monday to Sunday, 8:00 to 21:00. Office visits are by appointment. Call (614) 556-0342 or email abilitycare@yahoo.com.

What services do you provide in the home?

Home personal care, assistance with bath services, grooming, meal preparation, grocery shopping, housekeeping, laundry, errands and passing medications — all planned around the individual service plan (ISP).

Can your caregivers pass medications?

Yes. Our staff are trained and certified to pass medications as part of the care plan.

Do you provide transportation?

Yes. We provide non-medical transportation (NMT), HPC transportation, and accompaniment to doctor's and other appointments, as well as outings for community activities.

Are your caregivers background checked?

Yes. Multiple background checks are completed before a caregiver's first day of work, to protect the individuals we serve, their families and our other employees. Training is an ongoing programme for everyone on the team.
